Haggerston Park is in the south west corner of Hackney, bordering Hackney Road. The park was developed in two phases in the 1950s and 1980s transforming the bomb damaged gas works and housing area. The northern half of the park was developed first and was laid out following a nautical theme. The southern half followed and included the development of Hackney City Farm.

On arrival it seemed that the ground was extra muddy so we both knew we were not going to be staying that long.
The equipment is ok with a choice and consists of a wooden walkway climbing frame with a chain slide, a rope swing, big swings and baby swings, a rope walkway, a metal disc spinning cup thing, a wooden see-saw and a couple of spring rocker things.
There are a couple of benches and a picnic table bench which one side was full of bird poo.
There are no toilets in the playground but across the way the public toilets are located but not very clean and very dark, Xavi did NOT want not want to use the toilets so watered a tree nearby.
He had an good time and said that the playground was “good for him”.
